Min far / My father

Bildet er tatt i 1938 eller 1939 da han var en 11-12 år gammel. Det er blitt meg fortalt at det var min farmor som har sydd skjorta og buksene og strikket strømpene som han har på seg. Hun var også en mester i å bøte og stoppe strømper. Et søskenbarn av min far fortalte at hun gikk i læra hos henne, for ingen kunne den kunsten som hun.

Han gikk rundt og solgte programbladet "Hallo hallo" og derfor kom det en fotograf og tok bilde av han.

The photo is taken in 1938 or 1939 when my father was about 12 years old. My father's cousin told me that my grandmother sew the shirt and trousers he is wearing, and knitted the stockings. She was a master in darning socks, too, nobody could do the the art like her, and my father's cousin learned from her.

My father was selling a magazine or periodical for radio programs, in the neighbourhood, therefore the photographer came and took the picture.

The others wanted to have their picture taken, too, so the photographer had to come back. And here are my aunts and my uncle and other relatives a long, long time ago.
